The company says its Anicolor inking unit allows up to 40 per cent shorter makeready times, up to 25 per cent increase in press capacity, and a reduction in waste of up to 90 per cent.

Heidelberg launched Anicolor in a Speedmaster SM 52 four-colour press at Ipex 2006, and it claims that the Anicolor inking unit enables printing without ghosting. The company says that thanks to the format-size screen and inking form roller, exactly the same amount of ink is supplied to the printing plate with each revolution, applying absolute smooth solids to the printing stock. The unit’s temperature control system allows the amount of ink applied to the relevant printing materials to be adapted over the entire printing form.

The open house runs from 5pm to 7.30pm at 9 Pacific Rise, Mt Wellington, Auckland.
