The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) has put out an invitation for a site visit at the Foodbowl in Auckland on March 4.

The Foodbowl, an open access facility, offers companies a chance to produce commercial runs of new products for trial marketing and then hopefully to capitalise on domestic and export opportunities. NZ Food Innovation Auckland operates the site, which has a number of automated and manual packaging machines available.

All attendees will receive an overview presentation of The New Zealand Food Innovation Network followed by a tour of the FoodBowl facilities. NZ Food Innovation Auckland forms part of the NZ Food Innovation Network; a national network of science and technology resources created to support the growth of Food and Beverage businesses, by providing both facilities and expertise.

The visit, free to AIP and PACNZ members and A$20 to others, should take about 90 minutes
