Steven Gamble

Steven Gamble, mental health crusader and Man Anchor founder, will kick off the session. It acts as a bonus session for The Real Media Collective’s Power of Print series. This seminar offers key tools for the audience to apply to their daily lives, and in navigating through lockdown.

In addition, the session includes a wider discussion with industry leaders. These include Ruth Cobb, PrintNZ; Andrew Ward, Konica Minolta; Rodney Frost, The Lamson Group; and Kellie Northwood, The Real Media Collective. They will share their stories across mental wellness throughout 2020, 21 and beyond.

Cobb says, “The second lockdown across New Zealand has created more challenges for the industry as genuine fatigue sets in. This timely session is one I am proud to be part of for our PrintNZ members and the broader industry.”

Power of Print extended

Run over 10 weeks, the Power of Print Series has three key themes: understanding your customer, business building, and sharing knowledge. It features industry speakers sharing stories of success and subject matter experts providing guidance on business strengthening. In addition, it also hosts customers who have explored what they need from printers in a post-pandemic world.

Series sponsors include Konica Minolta, platinum sponsor; Media Super, industry partner; Sprinter, media partner and Australia Post, distribution sponsor.

Sue Threlfo, general manager, Konica Minolta, says, “Konica Minolta has been thrilled to support the Power of Print initiative. Therefore, this added session was a no-brainer. Our industry really needs to come together and take learnings from this important session. So, we welcome a really positive discussion to support us all enrich our mental wellness at these difficult times.”

Mental and physical health

As a mental health crusader, Steven Gamble focuses on the importance of mental health for all. His key mantra ‘health is health’ calls for placing the same priority on mental as on physical health. He aims to provide skills to manage mental wellness. Also, he has ideas on helping us to promote positive conversations to support our colleagues, families, friends, and communities.

The Power of Print Series would have concluded last week, but The Real Media Collective reconsidered its options. Chief executive Kellie Northwood says the bonus session communicates an important need for everyone. She says, “This is an important topic for all of us, from business owners to employees alike. Ongoing lockdowns, restrictions and uncertainty creates challenges for everyone. As a result, I feel really pleased to be part of this webinar. We will share some applicable steps to assist us all during these times. After that, our panelists have agreed, with great courage, to share their stories.

“The open Q&A session will provide opportunity for the entire audience to engage. I want ‘an all of industry’ discussion across two countries to provide our industry real support. I encourage everyone to offer the time for their employees to log in and attend.”
