Anyone with an old signage printer can take part in the Epson Trade Up Programme.
Customers who purchase an eligible model will receive cash for their old machine.
Check out the Epson Trade Up programme
The Epson SureColor R5000 and the Epson SureColor R5000L are eligible for trade up. This can get you a $5,000 Trade Up Allowance. You also receive a bonus roll of 54″ Back lit Film, valued at $999.00.
The programme runs until July 23, 2021. Epson says the Trade-Up printer does not need to be operational but it does need to be designed for signage work, use solvent, eco-solvent or resin/latex ink and be 127cm (50 inches) or wider. Epson will make a payment for the nominated Trade-Up Allowance upon submission of an eligible claim, provision of proof of purchase, and proof of ownership.
You can trade multiple printers but you can use only one trade up for each new printer purchase.
Epson adds that, unless your trade-up is a late model Epson you will need to decommission it and arrange for disposal. Once traded the same printer cannot be used as the basis for a subsequent trade-up application.
Environmentally-friendly R-Series
Epson’s new R-series uses resin ink solutions. The company says the R-series offers potential for faster job turnaround with reduced health and safety and environmental concerns.
Designed to compete against latex, these printers offer production speeds up to 27 square metres per hour. Dual PrecisionCore Micro TFP printheads and Epson Precision Dot technoloy enhance print performance and colour control. Epson has reduced curing temperatures for enhanced media support. Precision media tracking and temperature control helps ensure consistency. This matters for colour, image sizing, and positioning from edge to edge, top to bottom, and print to print.
Epson resin ink produces minimal odour and does not require the out-gassing time of solvent. The efficient drying and curing process lets you produce and laminate prints quickly for faster job turnaround.
The printers use a new six-colour UltraChrome RS inkset with a water-based formulation. The ink produces durable images that suit indoor and outdoor applications in a variety of environments. These include schools, hospitals, hotels, shops, and homes.
