Avery Dennison Graphic Solutions has announced Alexandra-based Shane Hilton as the winner of an all-expense paid Bathurst 1000 Race Experience valued at over $18,500.
Hilton, who entered through his company Design Shop, won the ultimate prize of an exclusive experience to Bathurst for four people from October 10-13. He has always had a strong interest in motor sport.
He says, “We go to watch the racing at Highlands Motor Park in Cromwell (about 25 minutes away). They have the Australian championships and special races there. A few years back, we saw Shane van Gisbergen and got to meet him, so we are really looking forward to meeting him again along with the other drivers.”
From its base in the deep south, Design Shop offers a range of sign making services and has recently extended its capabilities. He says, “We have installed a small textile printer and we are producing the likes of t-shirts and clothing for schools, sports clubs and businesses. We also offer design services.”
The prize enables the four motor sport enthusiasts to enjoy unparalleled race views trackside from the Red Bull Holden Racing Team corporate suite on Saturday and Sunday, and get up close with drivers in the pit lane. The package also includes return airfares and transfers, along with country style accommodation. They will each bring home a Red Bull Holden Racing Team merchandise pack and autographed memorabilia.
Additionally, Shane will receive $500 spending money and the coveted bonus of an actual racing car boot signed by Shane Van Gisbergen and Jamie Whincup. Avery Dennison launched this inaugural Bathurst 1000 Race Experience to reward loyal customers for their support and to celebrate its nine-year partnership with the Red Bull Holden Racing Team by creating opportunities to bring customers together with team, one of the most successful Australasian sporting organisations in the past decade.
Jordan Leach, senior business manager for Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions in Australia and New Zealand, says, “Our biggest congratulations to Shane. They will have an incredible time at the upcoming Bathurst 1000 race.
“Our team has truly enjoyed this great collaboration with Red Bull Holden Racing Team from wrapping their race cars to the planning and creation of this once in a lifetime race experience for our customers. Our sincere thanks to everyone who entered this competition we plan to do something even bigger and better next year.”
Hilton adds, “I only entered the one time so I had no expectation I would win. My thanks go to both Avery Dennison and the Red Bull Holden Racing Team.”
The Red Bull Holden Racing Team ZB Commodores are wrapped using Avery Dennison MPI 1105 Easy Apply RS, which features outstanding conformability and easily slides and positions into place for faster installation, according to Avery Dennison. The printed film is laminated with Avery Dennison DOL 6460, described as the perfect partner for the MPI 1105 Easy Apply RS. The company has developed the DOL 6460 specifically for extended durability even on challenging surfaces such as vehicle bonnets and rooftops. It provides improved scratch and abrasion resistance over traditional PV C laminates.
