Orora has purchased US-based Pollock Packaging, adding a corrugated box manufacturing plant, and in-house packaging design service to its US capabilities.
With Pollock based in Dallas, Texas, the deal adds geographic reach for Orora in the US and fits with its growth strategy in the country, where it also has an EFI Nozomi single-pass digital press in operation, one of the first installed globally. The acquisition enhances its customer offering in the growing facility supplies market segment, providing a scale platform to drive growth.
Nigel Garrard, chief executive officer at Orora, says, “The Pollock management team has a strong track record of proven performance and will remain with the business to support integration of the two businesses and delivery of anticipated synergies. Pollock aligns with Orora’s stated returns focused approach to allocating capital, as was the case with the acquisition of Bronco Packaging in August.”
Pollock Packaging, a 100-year old company, serves serving the industrial, retail and facility supplies market segments, with some 440 employees, and revenues in excess of $355m. It offers in house design, flexo folder gluers, rotary die cutting, flat die cutting, multicolour direct print, label laminating, kitting, speciality gluing, collating and packaging, assembly and fulfilment, along with warehousing.
