Middle-Eastern trade show SGI Dubai will have a larger textile printing component for its 2018 exhibition, its 20th edition, taking place January 14-16 at the World Trade Centre in Dubai.
Signage giants Avery Dennison will be attending, alongside international companies Epson, Esko, Agfa, and Brother.
The sign, graphics, and imaging expo organisers say it is a 20 year old established and proven business forum, which has generated billions of dollars of sales for exhibitors serving the signage, printing, POP/POS and outdoor advertising industries.
SGI Dubai’s organisers explain, “You get to meet the most important and eminent decision makers, apart from networking with the key local and international industry professionals. There is scope for exploring the latest innovation and breakthroughs around the globe. You have the chance to experience innovative developments first hand, and build and develop a strong customer base including future prospects to expand business.
“SGI Dubai, traditionally the first show in the graphic arts calendar of each year, will attract visitors not only from the region but worldwide, visiting the event whose reputation for excellent trade opportunities goes far beyond the region.
“The region is renowned for its stunning fabrics and designs that are sought worldwide by textile manufacturers and distributors. By merging traditional technologies with digital printing, innovative and beautiful impressive designs and projects can be realised cost-effectively – and this not only for the masses but also for individuals, chains and brands in retail, hospitality and other industries.
“SGI Dubai 2018 is ideally positioned to drive this merging of technologies forward. Exhibitors from all over the world will present solutions for textile printing – be it sublimation printing or direct-to-textile that even enable cost-efficient production of one time pieces for all kinds of promotion, display or individualised, personnel purposes.
“Imagine a chain of hotels or shops that has exclusive design on their carpets, curtains, pillows, bedding, doors, etc. One that distinguishes them from others, makes their brand easily recognisable wherever they are also driving customer retention. Marketers and brands like and implement those techniques for success of their customers. While up to now such implementation of individual designs was cumbersome, digital technology enables fast, cost-conscious production, even for the smallest chains.”
