Fuji Xerox New Zealand has announced changes to its business, aimed at improving its operation in the local market. The company says that reworking its organisation structure will help it continue to lead the market and improve the overall experience it offers its customers. It intends to place more people in customer-facing roles; to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of how Fuji Xerox operates in the New Zealand market; and to remove any unnecessary cost from the business.
Change agent: Gavin Pollard, managing director of Fuji Xerox New Zealand
As part of what it describes as a business transformation programme, the company has brought together a new senior leadership team led by managing director Gavin Pollard. Pollard says the proposed changes come as the result of a complete review of the business in New Zealand, as well as changing market dynamics. He says, “Traditional print services remain at the core of what our customers want from us but, increasingly, print devices are used as components within the broader context of the digitally transformed organisation. This is an area of huge opportunity and we are investing heavily in skills and expertise to meet customer needs.†He says some roles may become disestablished in a variety of managerial and back office roles. He adds Fuji Xerox has a long history of innovation and change. He says, “While we have had 50 years of success here in New Zealand, like all good business, we have made sure our strategy positions us well in the light of changing market dynamics.†The company says the changes have nothing to do with recent events across the Tasman, which saw former New Zealand boss Neil Whittaker resign from his role as managing director of Fuji Xerox Australia.
