Local MIS developer IQ has scored something of a coup in grabbing former Kodak manaing director Adrian Fleming, who has stepped into a new sales role.
A 14-year career at Kodak, Fleming sees the sales role as tailor made for him. He says, “This is an exciting change for me, I have watched the printIQ product develop over the last few years to where it is now one of the best MIS products on the market.
“The company culture and style is fantastic and I believe we are well positioned to become a major player in this market globally. printIQ is so much more than a traditional estimating or MIS software platform and I really like the opportunities that the product is opening up.”
His latest position was Kodak sales and marketing director for Asia Pacific in the enterprise inkjet systems division.
At IQ, Fleming’s role will be a combination of leading sales efforts within Australia and New Zealand as well as developing future markets for further expansion into other regions.
Anthony Lew, IQ CEO, says: “This is a natural result of our business growing at a rapid rate and needing to expand. We are excited to have Adrian on board. He brings with him a wealth of experience and relationships from his time working across the globe. The feedback from the market so far has been exceedingly positive.”
Fleming will be based in Melbourne and says he left Kodak because he wanted to spend more time back in Australia. He says, “My most recent role at Kodak had me travelling more than 90 per cent of the time. I wanted to re-connect with the local market, and the idea of working with a local company like IQ was attractive. The opportunity to take a comparatively small but energetic software company to the world stage is a really exciting challenge.”
Fleming joined Kodak in 2001, working in a number of positions ranging from technical support, sales and management, to managing director of Australia New Zealand between 2010 and 2013. Mick Rowan, director and product development manager at IQ, says, “I have worked with many people over the years but there is only been a handful that I would like to go into business with. Adrian is one of those people and with the opportunities that lie ahead, I couldn’t think of anyone better suited to help us succeed.”
