Beban began his career in the industry over 15 years ago with Ubix (Konica Minolta’s previous name) before heading the corporate business for Telecom Mobile, and then returning to Konica Minolta.
Beban sees numerous opportunities for the business. He says, “I am personally delighted to be taking on this new role and to be leading our business into an exciting future. There is a lot of exciting change in both our company and the industry at the moment as the document management industry moves to embrace new technology and the need to integrate the printed document with online applications, storage, retrieval and wider business management solutions. As an independent provider (not owned by a manufacturer) we are in the ideal position to be leading this change as we are able to move quickly and make decisions in the best interests of our customers which gives us an inherent advantage in the market.”
Meanwhile CSG, parent company of digital solutions supplier Konica Minolta NZ, has announced changes to its New Zealand leadership team as it moves into the next phase growth plans across New Zealand and Australia.
Evan Johnson will move from chief executive officer of CSG’s New Zealand operation to a new role as the chief executive officer of CSG’s finance business, with a focus on driving expansion of its equipment leasing operations into the Australian market. The company says Johnson has led CSG in New Zealand through an extremely successful period in New Zealand, including a management buyout with Archer Capital, delivering record profit growth and transitioning the group into the ownership of CSG, a listed Australian IT and print management company.
Commenting on Beban’s appointment Johnson says, “Warwick has a strong background in the industry and in the past five years has proven himself as a strong leader and he has been an integral part of the outstanding results the business has achieved. It is always satisfying to promote from within and Warwick’s appointment shows the success of our internal succession planning. It is an exciting period of change for the business and Warwick’s focus on delivering outstanding customer service and his ability to lead the company into a landscape of rapid change were key factors in his appointment”.
