With more than 63 per cent of the available floor space now contracted, Ipex organisers have expressed confidence it will enjoy a great turnout. Trevor Crawford, event director, says, “With 18 months to go until the show opens its doors at the London Excel International Exhibition and Conference Centre, the global print and communications industry is once again demonstrating its commitment to Ipex 2014.”
Warwick Beban, general manager – Konica Minolta Business Solutions (New Zealand), says: “Konica Minolta is moving from strength to strength in the production printing market. Here in New Zealand we enjoyed a 95 per cent revenue growth from 2010 to 2011 for our production colour and mono portfolio and therefore the 95 per cent increase to our stand space at Ipex 2014 seems fitting.”
The number of primary exhibitors now stands at over 200. Industry suppliers that have contracted over the past three months, include Atlantic Zeiser, Autobond, Edale, Impika, Konica Minolta, Red Tie, Rima System and Roland DG.
Describing itself as the largest English-speaking global technology event for print, publishing and media, Ipex now looks set to attract a decent number of visitors. Crawford adds, “Momentum is continuing to build towards Ipex 2014, with more of the top 100 exhibitors reconfirmed for Ipex 2014 than ever before at this stage in the booking cycle. The positive feedback we continue to receive from suppliers highlights that Ipex 2014 is well on course to host at least 1,000 exhibitors from around the globe.”
Olaf Lorenz, general manager for the international marketing division of Konica Minolta Business Solutions in Europe, says: “I have no doubt that Ipex 2014 in its new location at the London Excel will provide great opportunities for the entire industry, not only with the flexibility of the exhibition space, but also the efficient hotel and transport infrastructure.”
Crawford concludes, “Ipex has a rich heritage as a print exhibition, but our vision is to deliver an event that celebrates print’s past, reflects its present and, most importantly, signposts its future.”
