The awards are sponsored by PrintCom Consulting Group, and were handed out to the most unique, innovative and compelling products and services at the show, based on an independent evaluation of competitive offerings.
This year’s awards were selected from nearly 5,700 individual products shown at the event by more than 600 exhibitors at Graph Expo.
Bill Lamparter, president, PrintCom Consulting Group congratulated Xerox saying it remained focused on helping professional printers profit: “By continuing to develop innovative digital technologies that increase productivity and provide business-building opportunities.”
Must See ’em awards were presented for the Xerox Nuvera Digital Duplex System and the Xerox DocuColor 5000 Digital Press.
Operating at 288 impressions per minute – 144 two-sided pages – the company’s twin-engine technology makes the Xerox Nuvera duplex system run twice as fast with image quality that is equivalent to offset printing standards.
The 50-page-per-minute Xerox DocuColor 5000 Digital Press is designed to produce a variety of full-colour print pieces, such as marketing brochures, posters and customized direct-mail pieces, and it includes several in-line booklet-making features.
A “Still Worth a Look” award was presented for the Xerox iGen3 Digital Production Press, which has been repeatedly recognised by this awards program since its 2002 introduction, says Xerox NZ.
The Gold Ink Awards were presented to a New York printing company, Tucker Printers, in the Digital Printing category, recognising the high-quality brochures the company produced with Xerox digital printing technology.
In addition to the work by Tucker Printers, Xerox received two other honours: the gold award in the Direct Mail Packages-Variable Data category and a pewter award in the Digital Printing category for its own corporate marketing materials showcasing the capabilities of the Xerox iGen3 press and the Xerox Nuvera Digital Production System.
