Prism gained the Enterprise product, developed for the small to medium printer, 18 months ago following its entry into the US market.
Since then Prism has been enhancing the program, adding functionality geared to the Australasian market, including a suite of accounting modules.
Lee Findlay, general manager Prism Australasia says the specifications for the accounting modules were written in New Zealand and are a key element that the Enterprise system has previously been missing. He says work on the Enterprise package will be complete by the second half of this year.
“We believe that the extra modules will give us a mid-range product that will be the best of its type available. At that point we will be pushing very hard into the New Zealand market,” he says.
Meantime Penfold Buscombe Limited (PBL), Australia’s largest dedicated sheet fed printing company has installed Prism WIN as the fully integrated MIS it intends to implement across all group operations during 2003.
PBL’s chief financial officer, David Wiggins says that in-depth analysis of management information systems available showed that Prism WIN was a clear choice in terms of functionality, performance and value for money.
Lee Findlay says the scale of the sale to PBL cements Prism’s market leading position in the printing industry in Australasia.
In New Zealand Prism is currently carrying out the installation of Prism WIN throughout the Wickliffe Print Group.
