The Australasian Bioplastics Association (ABA), has opened the 2022 ABA Scholarship programme for submissions.
ABA coordinates the programme in partnership with the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP). The scholarship will enable a candidate the opportunity to undertake a Diploma in Packaging Technology valued at $9,000. It will give a second person the opportunity to undertake a Certificate in Packaging valued at $7,000.
Diploma in Packaging Technology
The Diploma in Packaging Technology is internationally recognised. Nerida Kelton, executive director at AIP says, “It prepares students to take responsibility for packaging operations at any level through the supply chain. The qualification is comprehensive. In addition, it provides an opportunity to study the principles of packaging, packaging materials and packaging processes.
“Diploma in Packaging Technology students come from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines. These include from technical, engineering, science, sales, marketing, quality assurance, control, safety, procurement, logistics, operations, industrial design, graphic design, and sustainability.
“Completing the Diploma in Packaging Technology demonstrates career and industry commitment. Delegates who successfully complete the Diploma equip themselves for senior positions within the packaging industry.”
Certificate in Packaging
The Certificate in Packaging is also an internationally recognised qualification. Kelton says, “It meets the training needs of a wide variety of people involved in packaging. Ideally, it suits a new entrant who wants the best possible preparation for a career in the industry. This can include production, technical, engineering & science, procurement, purchasing, logistics & operations, industrial design, graphic design, agencies, sales, marketing, and sustainability.
“The Certificate is appropriate for those wanting to enhance their employment and progression opportunities in the packaging and related industries.
