A B Graphic International (ABG) has installed its 2000th Vectra turret rewinder.
The company reached the major milestone with a Vectra ECTR. The 2000th Vectra turret rewinder went to Omni Systems, the USA’s largest privately owned label converter.
Currie Group supplies ABG solutions in New Zealand.
A B Graphic International began manufacturing turret rewinders in 1995. Dave Lawson, director of ABG’s turret rewinder production site, says, “Reaching the 2000th Vectra turret rewinder order marks a significant achievement within 25 years. The landmark reflects our global reach, and the excellent professional relationships we have developed with key customers. Without our loyal and dedicated team at ABG we would not be celebrating this milestone.
The Vectra turret rewinder can work inline or offline as a stand alone solution with a separate unwind module. ABG says Vectra turret rewinders offer shorter lead times, reduce inventory and cut waste.
A long-standing ABG customer, Omni needed a turret rewinder that had the capability of running wound-in rolls and eliminating tail tie gluing. The company madeits first order in March 2013, and owns 16 Vectra ECTR rewinders.
Lawson adds, “We now look forward to innovating and updating the designs so we can provide our customers with increased efficiencies for the future. We are particular proud that Omni was our 2000th order, which was especially fitting given our long association.”
