Fuji Xerox can has celebrated three awards at the annual Must See ‘Ems competition held during Graph Expo.
Xerox took out three individual awards: one for best legacy product; one for best prepress technology; and one for future technology.
Judges awarded the company the Prepress and Premedia prizes for its FreeFlow Digital Publisher. Name, job title, Fuji Xerox New Zealand says the software has numerous applications, especially for book production. Digital Publisher and FreeFlow Core workflow can turn a PDF file into a printed book or eBook.
The company also took out the Future of Print category for its Direct to Object Inkjet Printer which it has so far shown only at drupa and Graph Expo. The Direct to Object Printer allows printing directly onto an object. At drupa the company demonstrated it by printing on to aluminium water bottles, and phone cases.
The third award, the Must See ‘Ems Legacy Award,went to the DocuColor iGen3Digital Production Press released in 2004. Fuji Xerox says the original technology used by the iGen3 has since undergone further development and p[laced into other products, including the latest iGen5 series, aimed at commercial printers looking to transition from offset to digital printing.
