Recently, Pumphouse Print installed an AccurioLabel 230 printer supplied through Konica Minolta New Zealand.

Chris adds, “Unlike conventional flexo and offset printing, this highly flexible digital press can process jobs that require variable data printing, numbering, or barcode printing easily and efficiently. You can complete a run of one or of several thousand. It is perfect for a variety of applications including food and beverage, industrial and pharmaceutical’ as well as a range of niche products.”
Jeff says, “The faster print times mean we can process jobs efficiently, providing customers with much quicker turnaround times than the traditional label press machines. Also, the reliability of a production machine means we can ensure quality and consistency throughout any given print job.”
Another advantage the new label press offers Pumphouse Print is its ease of operation. An intuitive touch panel monitor eliminates the need for extensive user training. Jeff says, “After the installation, we had a quick demo for the printing software and machine operation, and we were away printing. Seeing all the machines busy simultaneously is a good feeling!”
The AccurioLabel 230 runs most tack papers and films at speeds of up to 23.4 metres per minute delivering a printing resolution of 1200 dpi × 1200 dpi and 256 gradations. An added benefit for small to medium sized print shops is its compact footprint.
As run lengths reduce and label printers answer the demand for quicker turnarounds, print businesses look for more flexible options. Chris adds, “The AccurioLabel 230 addresses these issues in a direct way. It can perform a range of tasks quickly and accurately.”

Since its inception eight years ago, Pumphouse Print has produced a range of digital print. Jeff had worked in the company for several years before purchasing it in 2019.
