A new Durst Tau RSC 340 E LED label press will soon make its way to Auckland’s PrintLounge.
Matt Ashman, managing director for Durst Oceania, confirmed the sale with Steve Sheppard, director at PrintLounge on the last day of the show in Brussels.
Ashman says, “Durst is very excited to be bringing the first Tau RSC 340 E LED label press to the Oceania market complete with LED curing and the new Durst Hawkeye system delivering outstanding quality at 1200dpi.
“Durst as a business is immensely proud to have Steve and his team join the Durst family. Both family business share the same values and ethos and we are pleased to support the meteoric rise of the PrintLounge label business.
“Steve’s business will be ideal to utilise the Durst Tau platform to expand its ever-growing label business in New Zealand across multiple vertical markets.
“Our representative in New Zealand, Graham Blackall from Aarque, worked hard with Steve to develop a close relationship and understand his business needs. Graham is doing a great job growing the awareness of the Durst products in New Zealand.
“We look forward to working with Steve and the PrintLounge team from the first quarter of next year as they introduce to their customers the tremendous output of this the new machine utilising the latest technology launched globally at Labelexpo.”
Innovative technology
In addition to a raft of innovative features, the press offers the new Hawk Eye technology, which Durst launched at the show. The new technology focuses on three primary themes: more applications, more automation and less waste. It uses camera vision systems and artificial intelligence to automate print quality, significantly reducing waste and improving print quality.
The company says that Durst Hawk Eye goes one step further than similar inspection systems available on the market. It corrects print mistakes, such as missing nozzles, inline and in real time, without any setup needed or operator intervention.
Additionally, it aims to significantly reduce setup time and waste, enhancing efficiency and an even more competitive total cost of ownership for the Tau RSC platform printers.
