The Commerce Commission has informed Fairfax and NZME that it must further extend the decision date on their proposed merger to May 2.
The Commission says that it has received a lengthy submission from NZME and Fairfax providing further analysis and expert evidence in support of its merger authorisation application. It has place public versions of this submission and an expert report on its web site.
It adds that the May 2 decision date depends on the applicants providing no further substantive submissions on the merger application.
