The NZSDA Awards of Excellence recognises and acknowledges outstanding design and craftmanship across a broad range of sign making methods and technologies

Sign makers have until 5pm today to get their entries in to this year’s NZSDA Awards of Excellence.

The NZ Sign & Display Awards evening will proceed as planned in Auckland at the Cordis Hotel on July 10. Andy Lowe, president NZSDA, says, “We need sign makers to enter their best work completed from May 1, May 2019 to May 1, 2021.”

The NZSDA has placed tickets on sale now for Awards evening. Be quick because they will sell out. It has also secured a good rate for accommodation at The Cordis.

Lowe adds, “Give your entry the best chance. Read the rules. Read how the judges will judge your entry for each category. Give a good description of the process of your entry. The judges read this and it can sometimes be the decider.”

Applications close on May 10 for the Signee Apprentice of the Year Award 2021. With only one winner and $4000 worth of industry goodies to be won, Companies have a great opportunity to promote their apprentices. Lowe adds, “We encourage you to be that stand out. Get recognised for your commitment, your worth ethics and your creativity.”

Recognising excellence

The NZSDA Awards of Excellence recognises and acknowledges outstanding design and craftmanship across a broad range of sign making methods and technologies. It is sponsored by many of New Zealand’s leading sign and graphics suppliers. The annual awards evening is held in various locations throughout New Zealand. This year it is in Auckland.

As a result of the Covid crisis in 2020, the NZ Sign & Display Awards 2020 was postponed. Therefore, all design, implementation and installation of the entries must now be completed between May 1, 2019 and May 1, 2021.
