MPS Systems has introduced VirtualCoach, a pioneering product of the connectivity and performance service based on intelligent algorithms that gives the operator awareness of the quality and efficiency of all the activities they perform on the press.
The new VirtualCoach is personalized, data-driven Artificial Intelligence (AI) instructional and guidance application helping to enhance the quality and efficiency of printing press performance.
It uses AI to constantly monitor and respond to processes in real time, including register settings, machine speed, pressure settings, job preparation, job memory, web tension, service feedback, etc.
Its AI-driven intelligent algorithms combine the input from printing press functions with actual operator behaviour. This data set is updated every 5 seconds to analyse and offer real-time solutions and warnings.
The key benefits of the new application include algorithms in tune with operator behaviour that syncs with printing press processes, real-time training and guidance based on detected operator skills, helping new and experienced operators to develop skills based on AI guidance and assistance with continuous personalized feedback.

The new VirtualCoach works within the MPSConnect service and is available on all new MPS presses.
