Next month’s Ipex show has announced Francois Martin, former global marketing head for HP, as its first Print in Action conference keynote speaker.
His presentation will address the industry’s technology roadmap, focusing on the evolution from product and service company strategy to networks and platforms. Ipex says he will explore new business models and propose a clear roadmap for both print service providers and the market as a whole.
Martin says, “Ipex 2017 will attract many printers and it is the perfect forum to feel the pulse of the industry and identify new strategies for its future. I am delighted to be announced as its first keynote speaker. The transformation of the printing industry extends way beyond technology and heavy metal. All the players – brands, printers and technology suppliers – will need to deal with these new horizons of digitisation to explore how new opportunities can be created.”
Organisers say the 11 Ipex sessions follow the style ‘Print In…’, reflecting the embedded nature of the print process and its intrinsic importance to the indicated areas. During each session three speakers will present on a topic acknowledging their expertise, before joining a panel to share and develop opinions, delving into the opportunities and challenges facing printers and their customers.
Rob Fisher, event director for Ipex 2017 says, “The diversity of the sessions on offer means there is something for everyone that engages with print, presented in a dynamic format.
“The industry is heading in an exciting direction and Ipex is harnessing that energy and turning it into an innovative, knowledge-sharing experience. It is time to book your tickets to Birmingham and join the print community to discuss issues, create opportunities and look to a positive future for our sector.”
Ipex takes place at the NEC in Birmingham from October 31 to November 3
