With less than three weeks until Foodtech Packtech gets underway at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland on September 23, organisers organisers anticipate a bigger and better event than ever.
Vanessa White, exhibition sales manager, says, “Many exhibitors booked in right after Foodtech Packtech 2012, and we’ve had extensive planning discussions with many of the nation’s most important industry bodies since the past show about how we might improve this year’s format. We have literally hundreds of leading industry suppliers from all over New Zealand and many from overseas participating this year.”
The country’s largest food and packaging technology show features over 200 industry suppliers and three days of seminars.
The Australian Institute of Packaging will run a half day training course on Labelling & Matching the Label with the Package.
The show will also host an exhibition of this year’s Pride In Print Award winners. Sue Archibald, Pride In Print Awards manager, says, “The great innovative winning work will be on display at Foodtech Packtech to both showcase the expertise available and spark ideas. The winning work always attracts a wide audience as it has appeal across several sections of industry from customers through designers to manufacturers looking for a point of difference for their products. The Awards is not affiliated to any one company so the appeal to view this work is often enormous because of its neutrality.”
Whites adds, “We’re excited to announce the NZ Food Innovation Network will again be participating at Foodtech Packtech, showcasing a framework of world leading research and development, pilot and test plant facilities on hand to assist in growing New Zealand’s Food Manufacturing commercialisation pipeline. They will once again be hosting seminar programs as well as discussing case studies from each of the network regions.”
Since the GFC in 2008, when New Zealand food manufacturers were hit hard, visitor numbers to Foodtech Packtech have grown year on year, and organisers expect that trend to continue for 2014. White says, “Everyone attending Foodtech Packtech 2014 will benefit from what is shaping up to be a great business event.”
