PrintNZ has partnered with St Johns to organise a first aid training course for print company staff.
Under the new Health and Safety legislation every workplace will need access to a trained first aider. Ruth Cobb, general manager at PrintNZ says, “This course for our industry is to make it easy for our members to train one or more of your staff. It only requires one day every two years; a small price to pay. If you don’t have a trained person on staff, now is a good opportunity to get that

sorted.”
She adds that the courses benefit everyone in the business. She says, “It is not just for those in the on the factory floor. If you have sales staff, or drivers on the road, it is also useful for them to be trained in case they have an accident themselves, or if they are first on the scene of an accident.”
The course offers a Level 1 qualification registered on the New Zealand framework. Cobb concludes, “To show we practice what we preach, our PrintNZ staff will also undertake this course.”
