To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Agfa’s Anapurna range. the company displayed a collectors edition of the Ciervo H2500 hybrid printer, featuring a design by Belgian street artist DZIA, at Fespa Global Print Expo.
Agfa also unveiled two new inkjet systems at the show: the Jeti Tauro H3300 XUHS and the Onset Panthera FB 3216.
Agfa’s fastest hybrid press, the The Tauro XUHS features up to 1,280 square metres per hour of raw speed, 12 rows of print heads for maximum throughput, and four or seven colour configurations, including options for extra redundancy in dark colours and enhanced light and mid-tones.
The Panthera FB3216 can print jobs at 1,514 square metres per hour and adapts to your workflow with a range of automation options, including manual, ¾ automation (laytable + unload robot), autoloader + unload robot, dual robots (loading and unloading), and dual-flex (laytable + dual robots).
The model shown at Fespa Global Print Expo in Berlin was equipped with an autoloader and unload robot.
At the show, Arnaud Calleja, vice president of digital printing solutions at Agfa, said, “We are accelerating the pace of innovation. We started the upgrade of our portfolio several years ago, and we’re seeing the fruits of these efforts now with the innovation that is accelerating.
“We are a technology driven company and through this innovation we continue to grow year on year, and we plan to double the size of this business in the next five years.”
Last year, Agfa released the Anapurna Ciervo H3200 and quickly followed up with two more innovations – the H2500, now touring every major show this year, and the H2050.
The is 2.05m H2050, the smallest in the herd, offers a compact footprint and productivity with a top speed of 133 square metres per hour.
With a 2.5m width and redesigned print engine, the H2500 is known as the workhorse of the group, handling everything from banners to coated textiles at speeds up to 169 square metres per hour.
Agfa says the 3.2m H3200 excels in large format applications, offering speeds up to 192 square metres per hour and seamless roll toroll performance.
