A B Graphic International (ABG), has announced a significant expansion of its manufacturing site in Baesweiler, Germany.
Originally acquired by ABG in 2006, the Baesweiler facility currently spans 2300 square metres. The expansion, which began in December 2024, will nearly double the footprint to 4400 square metres with the addition of a custom-built facility at the same location.
The Baesweiler site plays a pivotal role in ABG’s operations, producing key products such as slitter rewinders (SRI3), booklet machines, FleyeVision camera inspection systems and specialist rewinders to name just a few.
The new facility will consolidate the current warehouse, workshop and paint booth, allowing the existing space to be repurposed as a dedicated specialist demonstration centre and streamlined production zones. This strategic development effectively doubles ABG’s production floor space, enhancing its ability to meet increased customer demand.
This expansion will enable shorter production times and accommodate larger schedules. By doubling the available production footprint, ABG is well positioned to drive growth across all departmental areas, ensuring it can continue to deliver industry leading solutions.
Matt Burton, global sales director at ABG, says, .“Our Baesweiler facility has been integral to our operations and customer satisfaction.
“This expansion underlines our dedication to the German market and our long-term strategy to invest in areas where demand for our products is strongest.”
Ralf Wirtz, ABG managing director, adds, “As well as operational growth, this new development will create skilled job opportunities for the local community, whilst also offering career development for our existing workforce, aligning with ABG’s vision of combining business growth with meaningful contributions to the local economy.”
