Real Media Collective hosts brekkie event

31 Jan 2019 |  Bruce Craig   |   Comment Now

The Real Media Collective will host its first breakfast event for the year on February 27 at the Bauer Media Group office in Auckland.

Attendees will have the chance to hear all the latest research exploring catalogue marketing and custom publishing in the New Zealand market. Laura Demasi, director of Social and Customer Trends, Roy Morgan Research; and Ben Fahy, editorial director at Bauer Media Group, will share the research findings from a series of focus groups undertaken throughout 2018 across Auckland and Wellington. The will also discuss the monthly magazine, Our Auckland.

Kellie Northwood, chief executive at The Real Media Collective, says, “A key focus for The Real Media Collective in 2019 is building strong research to provide solid customer insights for brands investing our member’s media channels. New Zealand is a distinctive market that also shows similarities with global consumer readership and secondary reading trends. This, coupled with how marketers are exploring and pushing the channels, will be a key focus for the 2019 year ahead.”

“We will continue to work with our key partner, Roy Morgan Research, to look to developing a media currency that has value for retailers, as well as learn from Bauer about their thinking, approach and success with custom publishing.”

The Real Media Collective has a number of events planned to run across Australia and New Zealand. It will host a half day seminar series across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in April.

Northwood says, “We have a lot of exciting projects coming up in the first half of the year. Members are being provided more and more materials, support and content to communicate with their customers. A plethora of choice with exclusive access to new industry research and first pick to get involved in future industry events for their own learning but also to offer to their customers. A very exciting year ahead.”
