Visual Impact organisers have claimed what they call an unprecedented feat in selling all of the exhibitor space for next month’s Sydney show.

Set for September 12-14 at the Sydney Showgrounds in the Sydney Olympic Park, the trade show has booked in most of the major suppliers, while pre-registrations hhave risen by over 100 per cent from last year.

Peter Harper, general manager, Events and Publications, Visual Connections, says, “It is unprecedented for a trade show. From what I understand the industry is buoyant right now, which is what the major print and sign companies are telling us. Last year’s Sydney show did not have a good attendance due to it being a PacPrint year, and there is not another show in Sydney till next year, which will be the only show for the year.

“We are giving the exhibitors what they are after, one show a year, particularly in a PrintEx/PacPrint year. Not only did we sell out, we had to move our seminar area to allow for more exhibitors, and we have even sold our Visual Impact magazine stand to someone else that needed the space.

“All we need now is to get the people, and that looks good as we are 125 per cent up from last year’s pre-registrations and 30 per cent up on two years ago, when we co-located. Everything has come together at the right time, there is no definitive reason why, other than the strength of the industry this stage.

“If you are considering going to a show, this is the one to be at this year. All the major suppliers are there, along with quite a few new people. If you are looking for new equipment, new ideas, and new ways to use your current equipment now is the time to come along.

“There are a number of workshops and competitions, including one sponsored by ourselves and Sol Invictus you can win a motorcycle. Hexis are running a wrapping competition, and there are a few areas where you can have fun and learn about new technology at the same time.”
