Inkwise Print has announced that it has secured the contract to print Arrival magazine at its facility in Rolleston, Christchurch.

Darryl Mackie, director of Sales for Inkwise Print, says, “Having a publication like Arrival magazine is great for Inkwise and a real boost for the Christchurch economy.

“There are only three suppliers in New Zealand capable of producing a magazine the volume and quality of Arrival, so it’s great to have secured this deal for a Christchurch business. Arrival is an iconic part of New Zealand tourism with over 300,000 copies printed every year and we are stoked to see it being made right here in the South Island.”

From its inception 16 years ago, Arrival has become the leading tourism magazine for international visitors. Shane Stoneman, managing editor of Arrival, says, “We are very pleased to have Arrival printed in New Zealand and particularly in the South Island.

“Our directors have strong family ties to Christchurch but, most importantly, Inkwise has done a great job with the current issue of Arrival which has grown to 160 pages, including 23 pages in Chinese. A long term relationship has started.”

Print has proved a popular and effective medium with more than 5,000 copies of Arrival picked up every week by groups of international foreign independent tours. Stoneman adds, “We are also seeing a stronger pick up in Autumn and Winter, indicating the seasonal strategy of Tourism New Zealand and Tourism Industry Aotearoa is working.”
