PacPrint will move to
Organsers have had to move PacPrint from its traditional May date

PacPrint organisers have laid out the welcome mat for hundreds of print, signage, and packaging business owners and decision makers from New Zealand to cross the Tasman for the Melbourne show in May.

Peter Harper, general manager of trade shows and publications for show organisers Visual Connections, says, “PacPrint is always an exciting show and next year’s event will be no exception, with an outstanding array of the latest technology, information and ideas on display – and we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors from New Zealand to the show.

“First and foremost, of course, is the exhibition, with leading names including Agfa, Canon, Currie Group, Cyber, EFI, Epson, ESKO, Flint Group, Fuji Xerox, HP, Konica Minolta, Mimaki, Neopost, Ricoh, Roland, Screen and Spicers, together with smaller but equally innovative suppliers, lining up to demonstrate their latest innovations and technology.

“Adding even more value is the fact that PacPrint will also once again co-locate with the immensely popular Visual Impact expo, which showcases solutions for the sign, display and wide-format sectors.

“The ability to see the latest technology demonstrated under one roof is obviously a key drawcard, but there’s far more to the show than just the exhibition.”

Ruth Cobb, general manager for PrintNZ says, “PacPrint is an important opportunity for business owners to step away from the ‘coal face’, get a broader perspective, and connect with colleagues and friends from across the industry who are facing the same challenges in this unique and exciting industry.

“Last week, I was given a preview of the PacPrint Forum Series, which will once again be completely free for registered visitors. While the final details won’t be released until later this month, I can say it is shaping up to be an exciting and thought-provoking series, with new ideas from people from a range of interesting backgrounds, and panel and workshop sessions that will provide some excellent information and advice.”

Kiwi visitors can expect something special from PrintNZ. Cobb asdds, “PacPrint is technically not in New Zealand, but it’s actually closer for many of us to get to Melbourne than it is for some of our Australian colleagues, making it every bit as much our show as theirs.

“As always, there will be a warm welcome waiting on the PrintNZ stand and a special function just for the Kiwis – we’ll release details just as soon as they’re locked in.”

Harper recommends early planning to obtain cheaper airfares and special deals. He adds, “Already, we have put together a visitor resource page, including special travel and accommodation offers, and we’ll be adding more details on what to do and see in Melbourne regularly so that you can not only plan your PacPrint diary, but also see how to extend your stay and see the very best of what beautiful Melbourne has to offer.”
