The latest major organisation to announce an important environmental achievement is the Italian Favini Mill. Its Rossano Veneto mill has gained Chain-of-Custody Accreditation from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
Two other Favini Mills at Apeldoorn and Meersen in the Netherlands had already gained this accreditation.
Favini’s Meersen mill manufactures the Flying Colours and Osprey ranges distributed in New Zealand by BJ Ball Papers who see them as a good fit with their own strong environmental orientation.
The FSC Chain-of-Custody certification guarantees every step taken by raw materials from the forest to the consumer, including all successive stages of processing, transformation, manufacturing and distribution meets high environmental, social and economic viability standards.
