The Journal and Courier in Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana, a Gannett company, ordered Baldwin’s IMPACTflex blanket cleaning systems for installation on its new MAN Geoman 70 press which will be delivered in the next few months.
In addition, the Denver Newspaper Agency placed orders for blanket cleaning systems to be fitted on five new Geoman presses that will be installed during the summer.

Baldwin president, Karl Puehringer says: “The ImpactFlex provides our customers a cleaning system that gives them the flexibility to remain in compliance with increasingly stringent environmental regulations. This unique flex cleaning technology allows printers to operate in either the wet prepac or dry cloth and solvent mode and incorporates advanced cloth and fluid management features which maximizes cleaning performance while minimizing consumable usage. These orders along with several others that we have recently received have added to our backlogs which have grown noticeably from the levels at the end of the prior quarter.”
