The new FlexCoater offers web printers what Scheffer claims is unprecedented UV coating quality and significant savings in terms of consumables and operating costs.
Scheffer also plans to release a hybrid machine designed for UV coating as well as a medley of specialized applications including metal fleck and foil metallics, magnetic backings, texture coatings, titanium coatings that change colour when viewed from different angles, and thermal coatings that change from black to translucent when touched.
Based in Indiana, Scheffer manufactures a range of post-press equipment including coating machines and devices, machinery for envelope manufacturing and printing, folding, gluing, numbering and perforating machines and varnishing units.
