Screen has announces an agreement with ArtWork Systems which will see integrate ArtProT, ArtWork System’s specialist packaging software within its Trueflownet prepress environment to give users better packaging production capabilities.

Branded PackStudio SE, the solution will be fully integrated into Trueflownet to give users a cohesive interface and universal access to the widest choice of prepress production tools available today.

Trueflownet is a range of interconnected prepress modules that can be combined to create customised and highly-automated workflows to suit the specific production needs of commercial printing, newspapers, packaging and digital printing. In addition to its own expert technology, Screen’s philosophy is to integrate complementary and industry-leading third party products to add specific functionality for each sector.

ArtPro is recognised as leading software for the pre-production of packaging materials. It features many dedicated tools for the preparation of graphics for a wide array of label and packaging production techniques including: litho printing, flexo printing, gravure and silk screen.

“The packaging market has very specific requirements and by using ArtPro pre-press, operators can turn designs into print-ready files tailored to specific output device requirements instantly. This agreement, alongside the launch of two VLF PlateRite Ultima offset platesetters and a digital flexo platesetter at IPEX, strengthens our commitment to providing a complete packaging solution,” says Eiji Kakiuchi, corporate officer for Dainippon Screen.

Guido Van der Schueren, chairman of the board at ArtWork Systems says: “This agreement strengthens Artwork Systems’ position In Asia, and especially in Japan. It fits perfectly within our strategy to form partnerships as we recently have done with Punch Graphix and Stork Prints.”
